Brent Hirose is an actor, writer, director, improvisor, teacher and voice over artist based out of Vancouver, B.C. A graduate from the University of Winnipeg, Brent spent nearly a decade acting in the prairies where he co-founded the improv troupe The Horrible Friends and the indie theatre company Theatre by the River. After relocating to the coast, he served as co-artistic director of Vancouver’s Instant Theatre from 2016-2019, and is currently a company member and instructor with Tightrope Impro Theatre. He also teaches at Vancouver Film School where he teaches and wrote the curriculum for Improv in the Essentials Program. He is also a member of the all Asian Canadian comedy group Fistful of Kicks, and is the current Artistic Director of The Spontaneous Shakespeare Company (formerly Shakespeare After Dark), Vancouver’s premiere improvised Shakespeare company.

Brent has toured all over North America in various theatre productions, as well as a part of the Canadian Fringe Theatre circuit. There, he spent the better part of a decade touring with many hit shows, including The Suckerpunch and Lost and Left Behind.

As a voice over artist, Brent has voiced several animated series, including Noonbory and the Super 7, Kung Fu Dino Posse and Green Squad. He has also lent his voice to hundreds of other projects, including audiobooks, commericals, video games and more.
